Events centering on seasonal beauty and traditional festivals held since the old days can be enjoyed across the city.

Spring (March, April, May)

* Flower and Greenery Festival
This festival is held in Kamisakabe Nishi Park when this venue is full of beautiful colors of spring flowers in a fine weather. Performances are given on the stage, and play sections are provided for children. In addition to exhibitions, flower and vegetable seeds and seedlings are sold, making this festival an ideal family outing destination.

Summer (June, July, August)

* Amagasaki Takigi Noh, Tomatsu Takigi Noh
Every year Takigi Noh (outdoor evening Noh) performances are given on Daimotsu Park Outdoor Noh Stage and on the grounds of Tomatsu Shrine to promote Noh as a traditional Japanese performing art. In a dream-like ambiance, Noh and Kyogen pieces are performed solemnly in torchlight. Children from Amagasaki Children's Noh School also give performances.

Autumn (September, October, November)

* Amagasaki Shimin Matsuri (Amagasaki People's Festival)
This festival is held in October to mark the birth of Amagasaki's municipal system (October 8).
* Amagasaki City Nogyo Sai (Agricultural Festival)
Fresh vegetables and rice are sold at Tachibana Park and other venues.
* Chikamatsu Now (Chikamatsu Festival)

Winter (December, January, February)

* Daikakuji Temple Kyogen (Daikakuji Bean-throwing Festival)
This traditional event held since 1953 each year on the day of the beginning of spring on the grounds of Daikakuji Temple in Teramachi features Kyogen performances and bean-throwing. Silent Kyogen performances accompanied only by temple gongs and drums fascinate the audience.
